FAQs about the Lapland winter trip

Guests are divided into three small groups of up to 8 people each.
Each group lives together in a stuga and forms its own personal unit during the trip.

When booking, you can specify preferences – for example, if you are traveling with friends, as a family, or as a couple.
We take this into account during the allocation so that you are accommodated together.

This creates a pleasant mix of personal atmosphere, small groups, and enough space for rest.

In the first step, it’s primarily about securing your place for the trip.

After your inquiry, you will receive all information about the optional activities and prices from us at your leisure for an overview.

You can then flexibly select the additional experiences and book them bindingly at the latest two months before arrival.
Since places are limited, we recommend deciding early.

The trip combines fixed experiences in your small group with individually selectable activities.

You undertake the activities included in the price together with your group.
Additionally, you can book optional experiences such as snowmobile tours or other activities.

For these additional offers, there are limited places that we plan for you in advance.
This ensures that everything runs smoothly on-site.

You will receive your personal itinerary a few weeks before arrival – tailored to your chosen activities.

Arrival is via Arvidsjaur airport in Swedish Lapland.

You can book your flight yourself or we can support you with it.
For the travel period, exclusive charter flights from several German airports are available, which are not publicly bookable.
We will send you the appropriate flight times and prices after your inquiry.

You will already be expected at the airport and taken to the Arctic Circle together with the other guests.

The drive takes about 2.5 hours and leads you through snow-covered forests and the vast landscape of Lapland – for many, the experience begins right here.

For the trip, you should bring a normal basic level of fitness.

The snowshoe hike leads over several kilometers through the winter landscape and also includes some elevation gain.
With average fitness, however, this is quite manageable.

You don’t have to be a sports pro – the main thing is that you enjoy being active outdoors and feel like doing activities in nature.

The price includes your accommodation, all transfers on-site, and full catering during your stay.

This includes daily breakfast and dinner in the restaurant as well as lunch packs for on the go.
On New Year’s Eve, a special 3-course menu also awaits you.

Furthermore, selected activities are already included, including a snowshoe hike through the fell landscape, ice fishing on a frozen lake, and a torchlight hike in the evening.

At breakfast, the usual drinks are included, at dinner water.
Alcoholic drinks and other beverages can be ordered additionally in the restaurant at any time.

Additionally, snacks and drinks are available in the accommodations, which can be used as needed.

Not included are the arrival and optionally bookable activities.

Yes, participating alone is also possible without any problems.

Many guests travel alone and appreciate the combination of personal retreat and shared time in a small circle.

You will be accommodated in one of the stugas and can – depending on your preference – share a room or choose an upgrade for more privacy.

Due to the small groups, an open and relaxed atmosphere quickly develops, in which it is easy to find connections.

Especially for the turn of the year, many consciously decide to experience this trip alone.

Temperatures can vary greatly in winter and are usually between about 0 and minus 30 degrees.

With the right clothing, however, this is quite bearable.
Through movement during activities and warm clothing in the onion principle, it remains pleasant.

In addition, the sauna, fireplace, and warm accommodations always provide a relaxed balance.

The region around the Arctic Circle offers very good conditions for observing Northern Lights.

Since you are far away from cities and light pollution, the chances are particularly high when the sky is clear.

Nevertheless, it remains a natural phenomenon that cannot be guaranteed – that’s exactly what makes the moment they appear so special.
