Pieljekaise National Park is located in the heart of Swedish Lapland, just south of the Arctic Circle. It is known for its vast birch forests, crystal-clear lakes, and gentle fell mountains.
On our tours, you’ll hike on well-maintained paths through quiet nature, with great views over the mountain landscape. The park is easily accessible and suitable for both beginners and experienced outdoor fans.

You don’t need to be particularly athletic, but a normal basic level of fitness is required. The hikes are manageable, there are always breaks, and the group size is deliberately small so we can adjust the pace. Many participants have little outdoor experience – the only thing that matters is the joy of moving in nature.

You will receive a packing list in advance. For a summer holiday, you mainly need comfortable clothing, sturdy shoes, a rain jacket, and swimwear.

We provide canoes, SUPs, fishing gear, and safety equipment on site. If you’re unsure about what you really need, we’re happy to advise you.

Active holidays in Sweden – nature experiences in summer

An active holiday in Sweden primarily means being outside, moving, and spending time in nature. Especially in the north, around Arjeplog in Lapland, summer offers ideal conditions for a Sweden outdoor holiday – with long days, clear air, and plenty of space away from the major travel destinations.

Lapland active holidays & guided Lapland tours

A Lapland active holiday combines movement with peace. Guided Lapland tours lead through forests, along lakes, and into remote regions where everyday life seems far away. The focus is not on speed or performance, but on experiencing the landscape and time spent outdoors.

Rent a canoe in Sweden & out on the water

Anyone looking to rent a canoe in Sweden in summer will find ideal conditions in Lapland. Lakes and rivers offer quiet routes for day trips or multi-day tours. Whether as part of an active holiday in Sweden or as a single activity – being out on the water is a fixed part of the Nordic summer.

Pieljekaise National Park – hiking off the beaten track

Pieljekaise National Park is located near Arjeplog and is one of Sweden’s quieter national parks. It is particularly suitable for hikes as part of a Lapland active holiday. Vast landscapes, ridges, and little-used paths make it a special destination for nature lovers.

Active holidays & adventure holidays in Sweden

An adventure holiday in Sweden doesn’t have to be loud or extreme. Many guests look for a Sweden adventure holiday that combines movement, nature, and simple experiences. Hiking, canoeing, cooking outdoors, or sitting together by the lake in the evening are classic parts of an active holiday in Sweden for many.

Relaxation after exercise – hot tub in Sweden

After an active day outdoors, relaxation is just as important. A hot tub in Sweden, often right by the lake, is a simple way to unwind. Especially in summer, it complements a Lapland active holiday with a quiet, relaxed end to the day.

Active holidays in Sweden – consciously out in nature

Whether it’s an active holiday in Sweden, a Lapland active holiday, or an outdoor holiday in Sweden – the decisive factor is not the number of program points, but the interplay of movement, nature, and time. This is exactly what Lapland offers ideal conditions for in summer.
