Tips for the guides (optional)
The itinerary may change depending on the weather—we tailor each tour to the conditions so that you always have the best possible experience.
Pieljekaise National Park is located in the heart of Swedish Lapland, just south of the Arctic Circle. It is known for its vast birch forests, crystal-clear lakes, and rolling fells.
On our tours, you’ll hike along well-maintained trails through tranquil nature, with magnificent views of the mountain landscape. The park is easily accessible and suitable for both beginners and experienced outdoor enthusiasts.
You don’t need to be particularly athletic, just in reasonably good shape. The hikes are manageable, there are always breaks, and we keep the group size small on purpose so we can adjust the pace. Many participants have little outdoor experience—the only thing that matters is enjoying being active in nature.
You'll receive a packing list in advance. For your summer vacation, you'll mainly need comfortable clothes, sturdy shoes, a rain jacket, and swimwear.
We provide canoes, SUPs, fishing gear, and safety equipment on-site. If you're not sure what you really need, we'd be happy to help.
An active vacation in Sweden means, above all, being outdoors, staying active, and spending time in nature. Especially in the north, around Arjeplog in Lapland, summer offers ideal conditions for an outdoor vacation in Sweden —with long days, crisp air, and plenty of space away from the major tourist destinations.
Active Vacations in Lapland & Guided Tours of Lapland
An active vacation in Lapland combines physical activity with relaxation. Guided tours in Lapland take you through forests, along lakes, and into remote areas where everyday life seems far away. The focus isn’t on speed or performance, but on experiencing the landscape and spending time outdoors.
Rent a canoe in Sweden & explore the waterways
If you're looking to rent a canoe in Sweden this summer, Lapland offers the perfect conditions. Lakes and rivers provide peaceful routes for day trips or multi-day excursions. Whether as part of an active vacation in Sweden or as a standalone activity, spending time on the water is an integral part of the Nordic summer.
Pieljekaise National Park – Hiking Off the Beaten Path
Pieljekaise National Park is located near Arjeplog and is one of Sweden’s quieter national parks. It is particularly well-suited for hiking as part of an active vacation in Lapland. Vast landscapes, mountain ranges, and little-traveled trails make it a special destination for nature lovers.
Active Vacations & Adventure Vacations in Sweden
An adventure vacation in Sweden doesn’t have to be loud or extreme. Many guests are looking for a Swedish adventure vacation that combines physical activity, nature, and simple experiences. Hiking, canoeing, cooking outdoors, or sitting together by the lake in the evening are all part of what many consider a classic active vacation in Sweden.
Relaxation after exercise – Hot tub in Sweden
After an active day outdoors, relaxation is just as important. A hot tub in Sweden—often right on the lake—is a simple way to unwind. Especially in the summer, it adds a peaceful, relaxing end to the day during an active vacation in Lapland.
Active Vacations in Sweden – Enjoying the Great Outdoors
Whether it’s an active vacation in Sweden, an active vacation in Lapland, or an outdoor vacation in Sweden —what matters isn’t the number of activities, but the combination of exercise, nature, and time. That’s exactly why Lapland offers ideal conditions in the summer.
